DROPOUT PREVENTION PROGRAM
New Learning Resources, Inc. Dropout Prevention Program is a school district solution to support district dropout prevention initiatives.
An academic foundation is at the core of every workforce opportunity. The New Learning Resources, Inc. Dropout Prevention Program features academic courses that not only curtail dropout rates statewide but also provide preparatory courses that contribute to a student's stackable credentials, which are necessary for his or her career pathway.
The accredited high school diploma program obtained upon completing the New Learning Resources, Inc. Dropout Prevention Program is issued by New Summit School through its distance learning division, New Learning Resources Online (NLRO).
NLRO is a distance learning program with a straight forward delivery system that anyone can use. NLRO offers a flexible and hassle-free environment for learners to earn an accredited high school diploma. In a effort to provide educational services to learning with varying academic goals and needs, NLRO offers our students the opportunity to complete courses at a pace that best suits them.

How to Get Students Started
Participating schools will forward the following documents for each participant:
A permission to participate form
An application for dropout prevention
A transcript indicating Senior status
A current class schedule
A handwriting sample
The High School Diploma offers a 22-credit pathway for a standard high school diploma. This graduation option allows students to transfer accredited courses and take remaining courses as approved and prescribed by New Learning Resources Online.
***All participants must take a minimum of 5.5 credits with New Summit School to earn a diploma.
